WASEEL

It feels natural that WASEEL found his refuge in music.

And yes, while countless hours were spent buried in CD pamphlets feverishly looking up the producers and writers behind his favorite projects, life could have unfolded differently for the Palestinian, Bay Area-bred artist.

WASEEL could have easily applied his degree in marketing, or continued his sales record at a Fortune 500 company, and maintained his overtime as a DJ and producer somewhere in the margins.

But the lures and traps of corporate culture were crushing the art and the artist. WASEEL was starved of creative expression, and only after renewed focus and vision did the hobby he’d nurtured for years begin to spring fruit.

These days WASEEL’s name pops up on so many solo, collaborative and commercial projects, in CD form they would stack to the ceiling. Word to his younger self.

Beyond the multi-genre producer’s credits with Duckwrth, Rayana Jay, City James, Radamiz, Adidas, Nike, and the NFL, his catalog of immersive mixed-media projects characterize an artist who imposes no limits on his creativity.

Inspired by the likes of Noah ‘40’ Shebib, Rick Rubin, J Dilla, Kanye West, Pharrell, and, most importantly, his own experience and evolving consciousness, WASEEL’s work breathes. Each project stands apart, showcasing a growing versatility of skill and substance.

WASEEL continues to work with various artists creating cross-sensory experiences for the ears and soul.
